I keep coming back and I still laugh. I think for me, the expression on scarecrow's face convey's the Kool-Aid man's "Oh Yeah!" type of look, but in an undead way.

Oh man I am laughing so hard right now. This is instabuy if it is printed.

Funny stuff, although I wish the thought bubble was bigger. I imagine it might be hard to see.

That said, as critical as I've been of some of your past designs, those complaints don't apply here. Pop culture designs are rarely this clever or well-executed.

I was worried that Patrickspens would not be able to come up with another great zombie design after aquired taste, but I had nothing to worry about. Oh well, put me down for another zombie shirt and yet another Patrickspens.

Wish those were flying monkey zombies. Like it though. I don't think the thought bubble was completely necessary, but I think it's a nice continuation from "Acquired Taste".

They're after you Patrick. You clearly have the brains and the design skills that puts this shirt right in the derby sweet spot. I really like the moody red you used in the background.

That said, the zombies' heads here look almost exactly the same as the ones on Acquired Taste. Perhaps if the eyes looked different or the skin tone was changed... clever concept though!

I'm not wild about many of your designs, I don't like pop culture references, and I feel like this has been done to death, but I have to give you some serious credit on this one. The way the Scarecrow's face manages to be as sufficiently creepy as the zombies, if not more so, makes this a quality design. I voted and I'd buy it.

Never commented on shirt.woot and only bought one from this site previously... but I WILL be buying this one, with or without the brain bubble... though my vote would be for without... message is conveyed perfectly without it.

I don't get the objection. What's wrong with a patrickspens shirt having the same kinds of zombies as a different patrickspens shirt? Those are patrickspens-brand zombies. It's not like the tableau is even remotely the same as Acquired Taste. Those zombies were pretty passive. These are actively rampaging. Those zombies had a misfit who just wanted a sandwich. These have a misfit who's competing for the same supply of brains.

Besides, I would not buy a cornflower blue zombie.

I think the brain/ word bubble helps. I know many don't like it, but it helps people like me, that probably haven't seen the wizard of oz in 20 years or more, to automatically get the joke. I got it after I saw his brain/ word bubble. I think the last thing people want to do is have to explain a pun shirt to people. I think the brain is a great way to make that possible.

I know the people voting for this probably love the wizard of oz and know it pretty well, but many people don't. I think its a good thing to have on there.

I certainly agree there. The word bubble guarantees that nearly everybody who has seen the Wizard of Oz will understand the shirt, which is really the purpose of putting it on your chest.

Without the bubble, people's minds may go a different way and eventually misunderstand the shirt.

I agree. From the thumbnail, I thought it was Bert for a second. Once I realized it was a scarecrow, the brain bubble made me get the joke immediately but without it I'd have to narrow it down again from Bert > Scarecrow > Batman or Wizard of Oz >

Shouldn't this shirt have been rejected due to the no text rule?!? The circles for the eyes look suspiciously like the O's. And I'm pretty sure I see some V's and N's in the broken glass. It would make about as much sense as some of the other rejects.
