Well I'm back, nothing to worry about! That shuffling I heard was a four pack of zombie dogs. They didn't find my secret hiding spot... I suspect they can feel the hum of electricity though. They definitely notice when they ran into the electric fence I set up.
I'm not going to describe the smell.
