Hey everybody. I'll be posting more info and details/progress images later. Drakxxx and I are both busy on completely unrelated things so this entry has had many delays but I hope you like the end result. It's evolved quite a bit from the original concept. I'll detail what we did later on, until then.

Wow. I have never had a design pixellate and load wonky like this one. Must be the frickin nice detail. Good on you both. I've noticed your slowdown in subs here. Glad to know it's because you both are busy with REAL work.
Still, can use some more C=Drakxxx/CD shirts, any time you have time.

I'm so glad to see a sub from ya'll. I kept checking and thinking that surely, you'd be entering this derby. Glad you did, I really love the design. I want this shirt, now.

Saw this in the pre-derby thread and am very impressed with where you took the concept and how you used the space on the shirt. Great linework and impressive colors as usual. Had my Red Riding Hood idea in development at the same time, but thought they were different enough interpretations. Didn't help me much when we subbed them one after the other and yours took off, while mine watched admiringly from a close vantage. Hope yours continues to do well.

Gorgeous! I love it! Your Red Riding Hood reminds me of the way she's pictured in the Fables comics. If this prints, I am definitely getting it and wearing it all the time.

Ya know, I really love the story of Red Riding Hood because its got such sinister undertones. I think you've really done that justice
P.S. Have you ever played the video game "The Path"? I think that really nailed the creepiness that Little Red Riding Hood is all about.

I love the layout on this - the design has such wonderful symmetry and balance. It gives Red and the Wolf an almost symbiotic relationship.
Turned out amazing, very glad you deviated from the vertical design.
It saddens me to say this, but it does bring to mind ramy's red riding hood print who's name I can't remember now. This one far outweighs it in my eyes.

Love the work you two put out consistently. Not something i could see myself wearing, so no vote this time around, but it's a beautiful piece none the less. Really hope to see more designs in derbies in the future.
Original idea and sketch by Drakxxx that he posted in the pre-derby thread.
User "Mavyn" said "My complaint would be the gun. I see Hood as more the sword-carrying type." and so I guess Drakxxx took that into account and revised the drawing. This is the one I received.
I scanned the forums before getting started and read a post by "hoxe" that read "I absolutely love the idea, but what about stretching the wolf's head out away from her at an angle? Just thinking too many designs end up feeling too vertical for my taste; I like when the design works on more of the shirt canvas." and I sort of agreed that it might be better if it took up more space so I redrew the wolf and went wild with the torn cape into wolf transition.
Drakxxx liked the wolf and left it alone (possibly thinking it might bite), made a few tweaks, toned down the shredded threads, and then added a couple extra placeholder layers. First he thought some trees might be cool. Next, he had the idea of having the path through the woods in there. Lastly, a very optional moon if the design needed it.
I spent quite a bit of time doing a lot of blending. Just trying to break down some of the harsh separations and make it feel like one flowing idea. So I tattered the cape a bit to flow into the jagged nature of the trees and wolves fur. I tried to do the same with the colors. As I worked on it I felt that a moon was not only unnecessary, but would be a distraction. Other than that, I did some clean ups and such.
And there's a little glimpse at some of the actual back and forth that took place for this design. Thanks as always.
I love that you give us an insight into the development. True art as always from the two of you (Im always jealous of your talents) and probably the only reason that Id buy another "red" shirt. +1
I always love reading about your back and forth artist banter, a view into the minds of the draxdebris collab can be an amazing/scary thing.
