So much packed into a deceptively simple-looking design. I like it!

Jellyfish spotting! Jellyfish rule

This is good stuff, man. My pick so far.

Re: Sketchbook

I really like this, both for the concept and the style of illustration. My only doubt is how this will look if printed in just one color, with all this detail and tonal range.

Re: Sketchbook

I'm always afraid to submit something one color like this. I hope to see how it turns out, 'cause I think my drawings are always better before I try to put the crayons to them! Good luck, and +1!

Really, really like this. The sketched look is amazing and I love the sort of collage effect you have going, it keeps your eye moving! Grayscale was a perfect choice as well.

For some reason this immediately reminded me of the Reading Rainbow opening credits. Well done. And now I'll be singing the song all night long, and likely tomorrow too.

And yes, I realize other designs are trying to use that idea directly, but you're not here and yet I still get the feel. Anyway - I still like it a lot.

Re: Sketchbook

By far my favorite.

Also, if you're worried about the white (although I can't think why you would be) you can very easily dye it to the color of your choice using store-bought dye.

Personally, I love it just the way it is.

Very cool! I like the little stick figure the best... my sketchbook might have stranger things coming out of it though!

I look forward to getting one of these for me and one for my son, who loves to draw.

Re: Sketchbook

I never cease to be impressed by this type of design. Well drawn, excellent detail, beautiful textures. You know you're talented when you can make digital media look like traditional media and still make it work as a shirt design. Excellent.

Re: Sketchbook

Inspiring array of items, literally spilling out of the book. A different drawing style from some of your other designs, Naolito, but still painstakingly drawn to your usual high standard.

I'm not sure why it would look any different than it does when on the screen in just one color. The detail and tonal range doesn't come from multiple colors in this case, but from the line width, spacing, and variety. Just my thoughts.

i agree. I love sketching and have been far too long out of practice since I find it hard to find time lately.

How do you get it to look so nicely sketched digitally without gradients?
