Re: Not An Aussie
Australian Shepherd decided to hang out with the local dingos to pick up tips. Maybe, just maybe people would believe she was really from Australia!

As the owner of an Australian Cattle Dog, I appreciate this shirt. If one more person tells me that their Australian Shepherd is "practically the same" as my dog, I'm going to blow their head off. Most of those owners don't even know that the breed originated in the States, not Australia.

Really? People tell you your Australian Cattle Dog is almost the same as the Shepherd??? They are so different! And the cattle dogs are so solid. Pretty sure they'd kick the shepherd's tail if they wanted to. :P My dog is a mutt, but I've often wondered if she has cattle dog somewhere in her. Same kind of stocky, solid build and same kind of ears. The pound, vet, and groomer all thought Akita/Husky was the most likely combo, though.
Re: Not An Aussie
One More Gimlet. Love this! Please help this one print. I would automatically be buying two. My Aussie-crazed friend (she has 5 - including two black tris) would love it. Although I'd (and she probably would, too) like it better if the Aussie didn't have a tail - but it's still definitely distinguishable.

Pretty sure the Shepherd originated in Spain, not the States

Gotta admit, I'm slightly disappointed to learn from the other comments on this entry that the "true Aussie" dogs aren't supposed to be dingoes... mainly because I was going to make a terrible "dingoes ate my puppy!" joke. ![]()

I think they ARE dingoes! The dog that isn't the true Aussie is the Australian Shepherd. ;)
Re: Not An Aussie
oh no, not a tail!!!!

I know, I know! I debated for a long time whether or not to crop the tail. I finally ended up leaving it there because it just didn't look right in the illustration without it. Looks a lot less funny in photographs, or maybe if it had been from a different angle.
Congrats, you're the first to notice! I wondered when that was going to come up. ;) This poor Aussie wouldn't win in any doggy shows...

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR DESIGN!!! makes me want to buy something so I can vote
my design was rejected. if you could help me with my halftones i would be deeply grateful.
I'm using...my drawing...paint...and business card composer. I am not really sure what halftones mean...but if you could edit the halftones stuff...
Rejected because: Appears to be gradients in preview images, see submission page for guidelines on gradients/halftones
so can you edit my preview image? Thank you so much!!!!

Nope, California. Here's the wiki on it, and the many dog books I have state the same.
