Love it!

Re: How to make an electric mouse
You need a paint brush to add the stripes and red cheeks :D
Re: How to make an electric mouse
Cute, but pokemon isn't really sci-fi, is it? oO;
ANet wrote:Cute, but pokemon isn't really sci-fi, is it? oO;
I love this, however I semi agree it's not terribly sci-fi. Mew or Mewtwo would have worked better with the theme. I'm picturing the End of Pokemon Snap right now, with Mew in it's bubble and the pretty background. Oh how I wish I was an artist... This has my vote though, because it's awesome, haha. ♥
ANet wrote:Cute, but pokemon isn't really sci-fi, is it? oO;
As a series itself, I would agree with you, but the depiction here is hardly what actually happens in pokemon. I thought this type of robotics lab/factory fit into the realm of scifi. Thanks everyone for the positive response too
I really enjoyed designing this and am happy to see you guys liking how it turned out.
Re: How to make an electric mouse
How does spray painting and shocking a mouse give it the power to harness and attack other animals with electricity? I love Pokemon as much as the next guy, but I mean c'mon.
Also why did you completely hide his tail behind his back?
Re: How to make an electric mouse
Love this shirt, Great job

Welcome to sci-fi. Things don't always make sense, but they try to. If you want 'definitely always make sense', go with hard sci-fi. That may be what you're after.
Also - copyright issues of course. Same reason there was no red paint involved (besides possible color limitations)
And, as a bit of an anti-Ramy person around here... I admit I at least laughed at this one. It's certainly stretching the derby a bit, but it does count. I voted for once. ![]()
Re: How to make an electric mouse
Made me laugh... i.e. much better than usual.
Re: How to make an electric mouse

Re: How to make an electric mouse

Totally agree, usually not a fan of some of his stuff, but I think recently it's got a lot better, and this is probably my favourite shirt I've seen him do...
Fantastic work, definitely gets a vote (and a half).
Re: How to make an electric mouse
Excellent! Hahahahaha
Re: How to make an electric mouse
Love it!
Re: How to make an electric mouse
I agree, a spray red cheeker would have sealed it- and although I'm normally not a fan of the ramyb animal designs (think they're a bit TOO cute), I know my kids (who are still into Pokemon hardcore) will freak out with this... good job, ramyb.
Re: How to make an electric mouse
Is that the Woot! "!"? Great work!
Re: How to make an electric mouse
Who would consider pokemon as sci-fi?
smklung wrote:Who would consider pokemon as sci-fi?
Some of the movies are very science fiction. Also, how else do you explain how they fit into the little pokeballs? lol

I get science fiction. That isn't a question. I am pretty sure electrocuting a mouse would probably kill it rather than give it the ability to use electricity. Even for science fiction that is a huge stretch. Now pour some radioactive chemical on the mouse first, boom we have a story hah.
I liked this design at first. I grew up on pokemon and still love it, but the more I looked it, the worse the design seemed.

Radiation would also kill it now. Electricity was best good in the 30s... as was radioactivity in the 50s (ohh how we laughed at the easy monsters we constantly churned out back then). In 2011 it's always gotta be nanotech or some sort of fractal nonsense all the time.
...And the Monsters both of them make are total rubbish. Call this progress?
Re: How to make an electric mouse
my kids like this
Re: How to make an electric mouse
This isn't sci-fi and has the same recycled animals we see every derby from you, poor show
ramyb wrote:I had a ton of fun working on this one, hope you guys like how it turned out
I need two. Maybe four so that when our first ones wear out we have new ones.
*Clings* Great shirt.
Re: How to make an electric mouse
I want this shirt so bad I can't even tell you. I hope it wins...
A Pokemon shirt! Exactly what I'm missing. (: idc that people complain about him reusing animals & stuff, or winning all the time. The only shirts I've ever bought on woot are ramy designs. Simply for the fact that I love them the most.
Very cute and creative!

Google search "Endless Forms Most Battleful"
Re: How to make an electric mouse
I love the idea, but the execution seems a little off. He doesn't have his red cheeks or his lightning tail! D: Could've stretched or kinked his tail with a machine in the step where he got his ears pulled.
Love the idea though. ![]()
Re: How to make an electric mouse
Wow I never thought I would say this but good job Ramyb. A pop culture reference with a cute animal that I don't find intoxicatingly disgusting. GMV!
Re: How to make an electric mouse
Your mice are cuter than my mice. ;_; -mope-
ANet wrote:Cute, but pokemon isn't really sci-fi, is it? oO;
I see it as a lab-rat joke, which adds to my love.

Oh. My. Gosh. That's sooo my backup if this doesn't print.
nicoleterry92 wrote:Oh. My. Gosh. That's sooo my backup if this doesn't print.
buy both, it's only $10 :P
Ramy, after taking a lot of heat for putting bunnies on every one of his shirts, finds a clever way to draw a bunny without it being a bunny
Seriously dude, again?
Re: How to make an electric mouse
I've always felt Woot needed Pokemon shirts. Got my vote!

Love the idea though.
He doesn't have those things so Woot can dodge the copyright bullet with ease.
Re: How to make an electric mouse
4th place sucks! I really wanted this too...
NOOOOO THIS SHIRT WAS SO CUTE!!!!
The ones I like never get chosen
Also, ramyb, I love your shirts :D
Can I get one?
