Re: Yearbook of the Empire

The lettering in the shirt comp is a bit hard to read, so here's the link to a larger image. Hope you enjoy!

The guy who got the marksmanship award sadly died during fraternity rush week on the shuttle and never made it to the Death Star.

This is hilarious!! But I do think it should be shrunk a little if it gets printed because it's just slightly too big. But really really funny, good job!

Check out my Food design please!

I love the joke and the presentation is cool.

(I'm a bit concerned for you using the word Death Star though, as the name is trademarked by Lucasfilm. ThatRobert's cotton mail tee fell afoul of a similar thing after it had printed. I'm only saying this because it might be sensible to consider different text and you still have time to do that.)

Before drawing up the design, I researched as to whether Death Star was trademarked, and from all sources I've come across it's not. Anyway, since it isn't depicted, and is used in the terms of parody, it should be safe under any circumstances. Thanks for the concern- I was worried too.

Yeah, but your Storm Trooper is spot on, which is probably worse.

I saw this before I posted (link). Maybe it's not conclusive? Hope you're right, and best of luck. :^)

Love the design! One tiny recommendation though...you have "Most Likely to Succeed" misspelled.

Careful now, the uber nerds are gonna tell you that the year on your shirt is way off!

First of all, it took place in the past and second if you use the uber nerd calendar it would be somewhere around year 50 BBY.

Wasn't the deathstar completed on 0 BBY?
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/0_BBY

That says Year 3,653

Yeah, I'm not an uber-nerd (just a baby nerd!) and all I can think when I see the shirt is "Its a LONG time ago..."

Could I get an explanation to why shirt woot can't run the shirt, so that I can change something if I need to? As it is, I don't see how it's different from shirts that it already has on sale.

Not according to the dictionary... but she is a fickle mistress.
