EDIT: Here is a Wallpaper Version of this design for all the love I've received from you guys. Enjoy!

Watercolor representation of the four "Elements of Life", water, fire, air and earth.

The black strokes aren't any form of text, they are a representation of Aether, "the material that fills the universe above the terrestrial sphere"

6 colors in creme shirt

Ax, I knew someone was going to mention this. But, if you ask any of the Bender tribes, they'll tell you Hearth is very hard to bend ... and dangerous

Aramis, I officially name you my #2 Fan (sorry, my mom has the #1 spot). Thanks for your constant support!

Thanks everyone for you nice comments and votes. I really enjoy all this!

Needs more Lilu Dallas.

Also, not sure I would wear this. It could work on a satchel though, maybe.

Adding a reference to Leeloo Dallas Multipass would've broken the "No pop-culture" rule.

Not sure you would wear this? Why not? Every cool kid aboard the Fhloston Paradise wants one

Simply Awesome!

I had the same idea for the elements, but mine would have looked like a warm turd compared to yours. GMV!

Can I be fan #3 Omar? I love your designs. Are you taking on apprentices?

Re: Elements of Life

Not only do I want this, but I want it *now*, to wear to school on Monday. It's the perfect way to represent myself at my Divinity School. :-) I hope it wins. If it does, I'll be making sure all my classmates on Facebook get a link to it.

Thanks! I used Illustrator for some vectors, but I exported them to Photoshop and converted them to brush strokes. After that I pretty much used Photoshop for the rest of the process.

Very nice colors. This design is WAY cool but I'm surprised it hasn't been rejected for being pop-culture. The symbols look so close to that cartoon and movie "The Last Air Bender". The only thing that's missing is the kid with the arrow on his lil bald head...lol

Officeink, I understand your concern, but my design is not based on any cartoon or movie, not The Last Airbender, not Captain Planet, not The Fifth Element. My design is about the Classical Elements viewed through greek philosophers eyes, nothing more. You wouldn't say that a design based on "magic potions" is pop-culture just because Harry Potter uses spells and charms, would you?

I did my research before and after submitting my design, and the symbols you talk about are very different from what I portrayed here. We can agree that the Air symbol is similar, but that is not an uncommon representation of that element. The same thing would happen if ten people are asked to represent a "rainbow", their takes would be very similar... Apart from that nothing else is even close to the cartoon.

Sorry if I sound defensive, but I just want everything to be clear. Hope I still count with your support! And thanks for commenting!

It's cool dude...Just looks like an interpretation of The Last Airbender to me... It'd be cool with the lil bald kid with the arrow on his head doing some mid air move in the middle of it...lol

Hey can you tell me how you got it to not have gradients, how did you get that lined tonal value? I have been trying to figure it out for months. Can you help? One artist to another? Thank you very much ^^
