Eee! Nice. :D
I don't know if the fact that you can't see the grail-ly details when you're on the main page with all the other shirts will hurt your votes. (I know that hurt my grammar).
Gotta love a Holy Grail reference.
Re: Outdoor cookout
Haha! This is great!

Yeah I didn't know of this design's genius until I clicked it!
This is the BOMB!!!

Re: Outdoor cookout
Cracked up after seeing the whole design, love it! Have to agree the thumbnail doesn't give it justice.
Re: Outdoor cookout
Better if he had been wearing a crown, maybe cocked at a jaunty angle.
Re: Outdoor cookout
Oh... So if it's just a bunny, RamyB gets chased out of town with torches, but if it's a bunny with a Monty Python reference nobody says anything and he gets a lot of nice comments. I'm starting to understand woot a little, I think.
(I want to clarify that I love RamyB's designs and this comment is only for illustrative purposes)

it could be kuz everyone allready commented on his other design much like this one for a year or two ago... its just rehashed stuff with a bit of a twist. and have no clue why its in the fog

There is no-one interested in derbies or HMs or anything community related anymore. Scroll down and see the blog posts on the right column. Tell me how many comments you see ? 0 comments on the last 5 blog posts.
Well, that's what Woot wanted since it sold out.

This. And, we're tired of commenting about ramy's craptastic designs. No one at woot listens when his design thefts are blatantly pointed out time and time again, and all the hordes of Ocean Mussel Goodness KAWAIIIII ramy fans still vote this junk into the fog. After awhile, you get tired of beating a dead horse.
Re: Outdoor cookout
Generally carnivorous bunnies > man-eating bunnies
At first, I was dumb enough to think this was going to be fabelfire from the thumbnail. I looove her bunny series oh so much.
But major dissapointment. And I really can't get over the fact that what's on the grill doesn't look like at all like it came from a human...unless the bunny is a giant.

Don't worry about that !
When ramyb designs cute animals, they get tons of vote, no matter what !
(even if it's been done a hundred times already)
Re: Outdoor cookout
This rabbit and designs are getting really old. This is why I stopped paying attention to shirt woot. Old, recycled, repetitive designs like this.
Re: Outdoor cookout
Must, must, must get this one when it wins.

whats really sad is ive been clicking on fabelfire designs just to see what rehashed design ramyb has submitted this time just to find out its not him but someone who is trying to be like him. B^( its really sad that his cute style is rubbing off onto others and spreading.. i really miss the older more original artists we once had on here like Draxx and Boots Boots, Draxx for the dark and really cool designs and Boots Boots for the witty and sometimes cute/heart warming designs
Re: Outdoor cookout
WANT.
Wait... so it's a MAN eating bunny? O_o I thought it was eating the other bunnies.

It is a shame, but I can't totally blame people. At the end of the day, they just want to win the money, and they're going to draw whatever they think is most likely to sell. I do think that Woot! still tries to mix up things with what wins the fog, and I guess they want to cater to the cute-lovers.
And I tend to be one of the ones that desperately loves the cute stuff, but for me it has to be clever cute, and the character has to be designed with more than an oversimplified generic chibi grin. It has to have *something* special there. This just...doesn't have that.
And I'll admit, I have one or two RamyB designs at home...I think maybe only one- grim optimism, but that's a good design (whether it was filched or not). The squirrel is adorable, but still has life to it, there's movement, clear interaction, and overall it's a very good design.
I know that in the end this is a contest of votes and whatever the majority like will print (I still mourn the lost opportunity for that one Frilled lizard in the rain shirt..*sigh*), but I just wish that even when artists are rather phoning it in with a lack or originality that they would spend some time to flesh out their work a bit more and offer quality illustrations.
then again...I am saving a ton of money. ^^;
writermist wrote:Wait... so it's a MAN eating bunny? O_o I thought it was eating the other bunnies.
It's a Monty Python reference, in which there is a man-eating bunny. The skull in the background is definitely human.
Fablefire is the artist that did "Guys you have to try this" and "meatatarian". Those are carnivorous bunny designs that are awesome - although I'm pretty sure they're not eating other bunnies...just other mammals. (and it is awesome)
I hate to be this person, but the contest rules clearly state "No Monty Python." Shouldn't this shirt be disqualified? It is very, very cute, but does not follow the contest rules.

I think you're looking at the rules for CRESTS for next week, not the rules for COMFORT FOOD from last week.
Thursdays can be confusing like that.

I love this shirt and the theme of the carnivor rabbit, but why does it have to be a green shirt? I can't wear green shirts

I'm in the exact same boat. I don't even look at the derby when I know crap like this is going to place. Same birthday bash, different shirt.
