This is pretty much a phoenix made out of paint and glitter, which is what I'd be making in kindergarten if I knew what a phoenix was back then.

I know what you mean. That way it would seem more like molten gold, and not just a really shiny paint/an excellent, shiny (though still wet), painting of a phoenix.

I like it as well but have to agree with others the paintbrush takes away from the image would like to see it without the brush if possible. The phoenix is gorgeous. I am looking at the image for a possible new tattoo.
