Re: Woodland Rescuer

It would be a hard job to rescue overturned turtles... they'd probably be all indignant about it and wouldn't appreciate the help.

If you want to know, my real-life worst job was at textile factory making awnings. No joke, worst job ever. I'm pretty sure their treatment of women hadn't changed since the industrial revolution.

The explanation makes it that much better.

You have my sympathies in regards to the worst job. My dream job turned into the worst one purely because I worked with a caveman.

I love this :-) I love the expression of the frustrated rabbit and the poor unlucky turtle.

No! There is no penguin in this one, silly. Don't look at me like that!
This is sort of a sequel to "They See Me Rollin'".

All 3 look alike to me. Step outside your comfort zone and surprise us.

Yes, I agree that it is important to branch out. Someone mentioned that to me last week, saying that it was good to see me branching out . I kind of thought it was funny since I didn't think I was a "cutesy only" artist. I guess I pretty much am one on Woot.

Last week's entry was closer to my "default style" which I'm more comfortable with. I haven't only made kawaii-style designs for the derby and for dailies, but yes I'd say most of my prints have been in the "cute" category. This kind of style is actually new to ME, though not to anyone else here, lol. So, yea I'm still having fun with it while trying to make it my own somehow.
I like playing with color palettes and seeing how it affects how people respond to the design. I'm also trying to get more visual depth to my designs, even if the figures and settings are relatively simple.

That being said; yes... I could try to diversify my Woot portfolio... wootfolio... In fact, I will be sure to NOT make a cute design next week. You'll see!

I immediately saw this and thought it was a sequel to They See me Rollin', I also have been following you for a while and know that your 'wootfolio' is nice and diverse! Please pay no attention to the less informed haters of cute, I think they're experiencing ramyb deficiency and leaking their hate out elsewhere.

I like this one, makes me wish I had a copy of the first part!

I tried to look out your turtle upside-down on my iPad (cuz he looks so sad) and no matter how I turn it I can't get him right side up I totally feel his pain :-D

Thanks! The more I thought about it the more silly it seemed for me to try to prove that my designs are diverse. I'm glad you noticed my non-cute designs!!

@collin: lol, you have to stand on your head while looking at your computer. Do it!

"They See Me Rollin'" was I think the first shirt I ever bought on here, and I have been a lurker for a while. I am glad to see a sequel and I thought it was so from first glance at the icon. Keep up the fun work. I like your stuff.
