Agree, I LOVE the concept and joke, but...
I initially thought his head was tilted back so far that all you could see was a mouth and two nostrils. Now I think the nostrils are actually eyes...

I was trying to create a character with similar features to my robots--clunky feet, underbite--hopefully to give a touch of consistency across my designs.

As a dinosaur nerd I agree, it's not recognizable enough as a T-Rex, it looks like a slug with giant feet.
A dinosaur is very different from a robot, I don't think it should HAVE to look the same. Unless you drew a dinosaur robot. Those are awesome.

this is awesome... i love your style... and ignore those who say to make the dino more recognizable.
that can cause an issue since everyone has their own fav dinosaur... so making a unique one works for everyone.
