Re: Don't Spring Ahead

I don't really want to be that guy, but the correct term is "Daylight Saving Time." Now, "savings" is rather popular, you'll even hear the media use it... but the "s" shouldn't be there. It actually sounds more weird to hear it without the "s", but that's how it actually should be. Should you change the shirt? I probably wouldn't if it were mine.

Nothing follows.

Consider, though, the target demographic of these shirts -- we're (and I mean this in the most loving, empowering way possible) nerds. We KNOW that it's supposed to be Daylight SAVING Time, and the people around whom this shirt will be worn won't hesitate to point it out. Regularly. I'd say change it.

You are correct, I probably just said that out of guilt for being the one to first point it out. Perhaps they could just change the print file.

I can't help thinking that Harry Stamp's family would get a good laugh from it, just the same. I'm thinking they might want to all wear one at family reunions, just for a good laugh. His obituary is hilarious.

Thank you for sharing that obit. I had a great uncle who also called it the "Devil's Time" and refused to change his clocks. Anybody wanted an appointment with him had to do it on regular time !

I like this shirt too. : )
I'd be in for 3.

You're welcome, isn't it great?
I love the way his professional life and marriage were pretty much the least mentioned things about him. Most Obits are so formal it kind of hurts.

If only my own family knew me well enough to write such a thing when the time comes.
