It's been years since I've submitted anything to the derby. I don't actually remember my way around- here's a description.
I ate a lot of Fruit Stripe gum as a child. Literally ate.
Growing up as a minority in the Midwest, the thing I wanted most in the world was to fit in with the rest of the town. It's taken me a long time as an adult, but I've come to terms with the many ways I'm different from the norm. Finally embracing what makes me unique and quirky has let me cultivate a sense of happiness and belonging that I struggled to find as a child.
