I think what sells this shirt for me is the believable water spill on the shirt. Very nice!

I love this! The water dripping down was why I voted for it, but after reading the comments, I noticed the expression on the fish's face. I REALLY want to buy this shirt.

Super cute design, but it looks a little weird on the women's shirt. Maybe 'cause women's shirts don't have pockets, so I guess there's nothing one can do about that.

Actually, the one in my tank was the model, but I did look at several pics of fish for fins since mine wouldn't stay still. They pretty much all look alike to me.

No, they came from a pet store. It was pretty funny, they kept picking different fish as they swam about, but were sure that out of the dozens in the tank and the random two that were bagged, they got the fish they wanted. However, it was a rubber band tie on much bigger bag, not an orange twistie.

Yes! I've come close once before, but it was a shirt I wasn't as proud of. This one, it all came together: the expression, the pocket, everything. I'm also honored to be among really good company- the other designs are very good (hoodie t sums up the theme perfectly, the candle is a technical gem, and the postits are really funny). Even edgar's and the mouse one are nice. I am positive that a lot of entries from this week's top 20 will fill the next Best of the Rest contest.

I had two friends with goldfish like that. Hmmm, gotta ask about the one; it may still be alive. At last count he was 10 years old.

Amen to that. I never won goldfish. But I do buy bettas from the pet store when my friend (the fish lady at said pet store) wants them rescued from evil children eyeing them. ^_^

I really like the goldfish entry. It's been growing on me.

SHEKTEK!!! I just realized that you are the same designer who did the -1 Imaginary Holiday shirt. Can I just say that you took a truckload of criticism for that shirt. I am THRILLED to see that you were not 'driven off' by the naysayers and have continued to submit listings even in light of the Imaginary Holiday shirt. Yeah, that was me. I ignored most of the flak, staying over at the EBW threads during that time.

It's hard to keep me away. Too much fun. And it's paying off, I hope! The person who designed the hoodie is getting the EXACT same treatment- if it is a good idea and done quickly, it's gotta be blasted. However, I admit, it only took 5 minutes to put that -1 shirt together, as a joke really... This one took hours, and I'm glad it's doing well. But it still needs voter help!

But it'd be an interesting concept for another theme! IE- a "homeopathic" medical one, where somehow the healing powers of the fish are transferred to the patient.

I really hope this makes it to second place, seeing that it didn't win!

This is off topic, but I want to know if there will be any printing problems with the SoulGlow tshirt, I really like it and will probably try to buy it; but I know that Alvin Ping's dream shirt didnt exactly turn out as expected, was wondering if Soul Glow would potentially have any problems as well.

It's not actually off topic. Hopefully woot will do the design justice. Part of the beauty of this design is the moire patterns created by the "reflective" elements. If that gets muddy, it'll look like a candle surrounded by spotlights. If it gets 3rd, people should def take a picture of their shirts using a macro lens and post it on the boards. I'd love to know what the smallest dot width that can be printed.
