Look, we’re not going to pick on your pet favorite author here. Some people read Forgotten Realms and some people read Twilight and some people read Agatha Christie and some people read romance novels. We’ve all got some dirty little book secret that really isn’t high literature, even when we get all jerky and pretend that novel about dragons and lightsabers has serious literary merit.
But the secret thing about books, all books, is that even the worst of them can be redeeming. If you sit around getting baked and watching Cleopatra 2525 with your friends, you’ve just wasted an afternoon. If you read some old Robert E. Howard with the exact same plot, you might at least learn a new word, and let’s face it, the production values in your imagination are always going to be lot better than a low-budget 90s show.
But please, please, please don’t be one of those people who’ll pretend that Kevin J. Anderson is somehow the same as a real writer like Ha Jin. Because if you do that around us, that’ll get you kicked in the teeth.
Wear this shirt: while reading your Kindle. Oh, hang on, does that make us sellouts?
Don’t wear this shirt: if you’re just going to sit around the house listening to music. We’ve done plenty of music shirts, you should wear one of them instead.
This shirt tells the world: “Oh, no, this is just my travelling collection.”

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
