Re: TiméSuck

Nice one acraigl! I agree except that it is the only way I can get my kids to walk around or hike.

Re: TiméSuck

Fun design. We can't include it in the Derby, but we hope you'll consider submitting it through the standard process!

Re: TiméSuck

Designs should show a slice of life rendered in the style of Anime. And by “slice of life” we mean anything from the mundane minutia of everyday living to some popular piece of pop culture. No cats, no cream, and no characters from actual Anime/Manga franchises.

The rules say no characters. If the pokeball-looking clock is a "character", then so be it. But nowhere does it say "existing franchise" as taboo. I'd argue I took a style of anime and applied to a very real, everyday life thing, and I don't agree with the rejection reason as a result.

I'm sad to see this one go. I agree that the Pokeball clock isn't an actual character. However, lines always need to be drawn somewhere I guess.

Thanks, @acraigl. For what it's worth, our perspective was that the concept of the design (ball, font, subject matter, etc.) is all based around an 'actual Anime franchise.' It was a tough call (as all of these have been this week), but one we ultimately felt was the right one to make. Glad to hear you'll still be submitting it, though.
