Ahh I sure hope this one wins so I can purchase my first Shirt.woot! I love brown shirts and the ant's expression alone sells this one for me.

I think that this is really cool. I like the different rooms and how the ant seems tired and bothered without a lot of facial features.
Very Nice!!!

This hits home in so many ways, more than anyone cares to hear; and it has just the right combination of humor, cuteness and truth. Really, really good! GMV

I've been on the watch for a great brown design, and this might very well be it. The look of contempt on the ant's face is great. If you don't mind my asking, what are the two rooms with the little brown and little gold orbs about? Food storage of some kind?

Great design, toe!

yes. for those not familiar with the fable, the ant spends the summer months gathering food while the grasshopper spends his time singing and playing. when winter comes the ant is prepared but the grasshopper has nothing.

as a kid it was one my favorites of Aesop's Fables.

Oh man, this is great! It is simple and yet not, all at the same time. Very expressive..

that ant is just a jerk; alright, so the grasshopper is ill-prepared for the winter. i think the ant could throw him a bone and let him at least crash on the sofa for a few days 'til he finds a place of his own.

Fry wrote:Its just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

I really like the shirt.

Still single, can't imagine why.

This is so good. Your design detail doesn't do it justice. I almost didn't click! That would have been tragic... It's such a good design. And I've always loved the ant and the grasshopper story.

This is so great. Even if it doesn't win I would love to have it has a print.

I love this shirt design, but I can't get over the black dirt on the whole front of the shirt. I think the shirt would look a thousand times better without it. :\

Sigh. More brown. GMV - not sure it'll help this late, though. You are going to make me broke with your store link. I'm definitely getting Hephaestus (not sure which yet). And I still want Migration. Since it was submitted for the Do-Over Derby, does this mean I have to wait another 60 days?

generally i let the design dictate the shirt color, so the logical choice for this design seemed to be brown. if woot offered more colors we designers would have more options but they don't. still, thanks for the vote. i was hoping to at least make the top ten but it doesn't seem likely either.

not sure when migration will be available, but i think it's 30 days. if it were up to me i'd make the prices lower in the shop, but spreadshirt makes the lion's share of the price and i got a rather small percentage of it. thanks for your support!

Migration? You mean this still has a chance of being printed? Hot dog I was so sad when this one didn't win but if there's still a chance I am excited again!

As did I. This shirt should have done way better than 15th; it's very nicely done.
