Home Is Where The Perch Is
When they met, it was as acorn and egg. They hit it off from the first. Soon one of them had leaves and the other plumage. Then came the nest across town, the transplant to the front yard, everybody knows what it’s like. Sometimes they didn’t talk for months, just too busy to even say hi. But they didn’t have to be there to know they were still friends. They just knew.
The year there was a snowstorm was really bad for both of them. All the leaves fell off early and the doctor said it might be a root parasite. Some wildcat got into the nest and ruined everything. The snow only made things seem lonely. It was cold and there didn’t seem to be anyone to listen.
They met up totally by accident, almost didn’t recognize each other. They laughed about those extra branches and the fat winter belly. They talked about the old times, Fledge and Sap, down by the old creek without a care in the world. And after a while they just sort of listened to the snow fall, nothing really left to say, just happy to have a good friend at Christmas.

Wear this shirt: to remember that sometimes it’s not what you have, it’s the way that you have it.
Don’t wear this shirt: to sit under the tree and fingerpaint with your little nephew. He’ll just ruin it and it isn’t worth the cost, no matter how hard he begs you to… hey, you know what? Never mind. Go ahead.
This shirt tells the world: “Beauty doesn’t always need a tag line.”
We call this color: Silent White
