When folks say “birdbrain,” usually they mean not very smart
But birds can carry messages, and birds are good at art
It shouldn’t be surprising to find out they have art skills
‘Cause birds can grow their own super high quality art quills
And then, clutching their pens tight in their little birdy beaks
They sketch away, proficient in, like, all the sketch techniques
The nuthatch is a cross-hatcher, exactly like you’d think
The stipple-throated antwren mostly stipples with its ink
But all of them are artists, crows and finches, owls and cranes
‘Cause they’ve all mastered drawing on the bird-side of their brains
