Twenty hefted his mighty battle axe and looked skyward, to the face of the gods themselves. Beneath his feet, the rotting corpses of those who thought they could outroll him. The orc, the paladin, the elven ranger, even the half-ogre quarter-pegasus day-vampire sasquatch magic user-thief-barbarian multiclass with a modified Barrier Peaks laser gun and psionic thri-kreen familiar. And boy, did THAT guy throw a tantrum when he lost!

But now, here, on the plain of final battle, Twenty faced his greatest enemy. The enemy which every hero must, at some point, come to terms with. The enemy that every hero knows is out there, waiting, growing in strength. The enemy that eventually will come between the hero and his goal. The enemy that cannot be defeated by force. Only by cunning and wisdom.
