Don't try to UNDERSTAND this shirt; let its complexity wash over you.

In Buddhist philosophy, reality is often interpreted as a coin with two sides. The enlightened individual is the one who can see both sides at once - nothingness and impermanence.

Similarly, with shirts such as this one it's important to hold many questions in your mind at once. For instance, is that actually the villain himself? Because we all know that he didn't turn evil until he was much older. Or is it a child who is dressed up like the villain? In that case, why does he actually think he's going to be getting a space station  as a present? Is he an idiot?

The TRUE answer is that it is neither of these explanations and both of these explanations at the same time. True understanding comes from holding both together in an enlightenment-inducing paradox. If you really want to get into that hardcore nirvana stuff, you could also add the paradox of why he thought a full-sized space station would be wrapped in a package the size of a basketball.
