Sure. It's easy. You're going back to save the world.

"And to do this I have to do what again?"

You've got to make sure this sci-fi cowboy show doesn't really have a chance to find an audience.

"What difference will THAT make?"

All the difference, my friend. You see, without that show, the whole world changes. We get comic books, we get Shakespeare, we get a really cohesive Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we get this terrific blog in which serious actors pretend to be super heroes and sing at each other.

"A blog-based musical? Who'd care about that?"

No, you don't understand! It's so much fun! I mean, maybe if you see it you'll understand why everyone loves it. But you can't yet.

"Because it only exists in the alternate future you sending me to create by cancelling that show"

Exactly. Because here and now, in our time, it simply doesn't exist.

"I got one more question."

"All these machines and stuff here in your lab, it must have cost billions to make this place! And to develop time travel technology?"

Took me most of my life to make it happen. Decades of hard work.

"You really hate that sci-fi cowboy show this much?"

Well, the first season was really good, but it kinda lost steam after Season 38 and the fifth movie. You know, like The Simpsons did.

"The Simpsons? I don't recall any... oh, wait! Wasn't that the show that got canceled in the first season after they started showing the episodes out of order?"
