There are many paths through this life.

PATH 1: It was the idea that inspired a book, and the book that inspired a movie. It was the movie that inspired a video game, and a video game that inspired a theme park. It was the theme park that inspired a different theme park, and it was that different theme park that inspired the first theme park to file a lawsuit against it for copyright infringement, so they broke even on the end of that one.

PATH 2: It was the idea that inspired a book, and the book that inspired a movie. It was the movie that inspired a board game, and the board game that inspired group of obsessive fans. And it was that group of obsessive fans that inspired the casual fans to go back and reconsider whether or not they were ever really fans to begin with.

PATH 3: It was the idea that inspired a book, and the book that inspired a movie that was so unlike the book that they had to change title before releasing it. It was that movie that inspired people to say, "They ruined the book!" and it was the people saying that the movie ruined the book that inspired the people who liked the movie to start running their mouthes. We stopped paying attention after that because those conversations are the worst, right?

PATH 4: It was the idea that would have inspired a book, had it occurred to a writer. But since it occurred to a dog, nothing ever came of it.
