My name is Evan Clifton, and I’m eight years old. I’m the Junior Philosopher of the Month at the Waldren Valley Progressive Elementary Education Center, and this is what this shirt means to me:
This shirt means that sometimes trees grow from the sky and look like tornadoes, but that doesn’t mean they are tornadoes. That just means they’re different, and that’s okay.
This shirt means that sometimes mountains can be really sharp and kind of dark and they might look like they’re going to fall over, but that’s not a bad thing. That just means that they’re different, and that’s okay.
This shirt means that sometimes dogs try to bury their bones in sharp mountains, but they don’t do a very good job with the burying part, so everyone can see the bones, but that doesn’t make the dogs bad dogs. That just means that they’re different, and that’s okay.
This shirt means that the guy from the men’s room signs has a brother who glows and sometimes does dangerous stuff like jumping from a pointy, dark, dog bone mountain to a tree tornado, but that doesn’t mean he needs to go to the real doctor to have the glowing fixed or the talky doctor to have the doing dangerous stuff fixed. It just means that he’s different, and that’s okay.
So, in conclusion, I am Even Clifton, I am eight years old, and this shirt means to me that being different is okay.
Wear this shirt: if you’re different, and that’s okay.
Don’t wear this shirt: if you’re not different, and that’s not okay.
This shirt tells the world: “I’m different, and that’s okay.”
We call this color: Navy, but if it were a different color, that would be okay.
