“Harbingers of Doom”. “Bringers of Pestilence”. “Bad omens”. For years, the Death’s-head Hawkmoth has gotten a bad rap. For instance, many believed that, if one were to enter a candlelit room and snuff out the flames with its wings, it meant certain death for someone in the family. Really? Just because of the eerie way it squeals and the markings on its back that vaguely looks like a skull? Man, our ancestors were scared of any old thing, weren’t they?
It’s a good thing we live in these modern times where almost everything has a skull slapped in it. Superstitions? Please. We’re far more worried about the economy and destroying ourselves with nukes to be afraid of something as silly as a OH GOD WHO LET THAT IN HERE JEEZ IT’S HUGE DON’T LET THE DUST GET IN YOUR EYE YOU’LL GO BLIND KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT!!!!!
Wear this shirt: while fluttering around a light bulb.
Don’t wear this shirt: too close to a flame.
This shirt tells the world: “Not in the face!”
We call this color: Navy Superstitious
