No. No! I ain’t gonna let you see it, you little jerk! No! Okay, maybe. But you gotta buy me a Dr. Pepper Slurpee and two Slim Jims. And that new Tomb of Dracula. Okay then. You can look.
See that? Those are chains. They symbolize how he was once a king, until an evil wizard stole his woman and sent her to the Black Pits of Kardarrkgh. And hey, hey, see those red things there? Those are fabric, and they represent his humanity, which is in tatters, because of the spell some other wizard cast on his family. Yeah, there were a lot of wizards running around then.
That thing that looks like a sun? It’s a sun. But it’s a torn sun, because nothing will stop Prince Panthera in his quest to save his beloved from the Black Pits. And you see those claws? They’re poison. That’s why he’s drooling. Because he’s so mad, he’s making extra poison. And that madness is making him stronger, but the poison is killing him at the same time. Yeah. And that’s what it’s like to be an artist.
This shirt was designed by: Ray Frenden, a self-taught illustrator who makes a living drawing monsters and robots. And, because he draws monsters and robots, his other shirt also has an animal on it. Maybe it’s time to take a good, hard look in the mirror and update that bio with some truth, Ray.
Wear this shirt: well, not you specifically, but give it to your niece or nephew when they go to their first Confession. The priests will rush over to watch like the kid was a very special Law & Order and all the other kids will think they’re distilled awesome on a sugar cube.
Don’t wear this shirt: to visit Skeletor. He’s not good with names so you’ll probably wind up with reins and a saddle. Unless, you know, you’re into that. We don’t judge. Okay, that’s not true, we do judge, but we’re very discrete about it and we certainly won’t talk about you while you’re actually in the room.
This shirt tells the world: “Art is like being a chained up venom-drooling were-panther with no woman. Swear to God, that’s what they said.”
We call this color: Asphalt Panther. That’s tough, isn’t it? We think it sounds tough. Tough enough to make a chinchilla swoon. Yeah.
