Dear Albert,

Thanks so much for agreeing to watch Whiskers while my wife and I are away on holiday. He’ll be no trouble at all, I assure you. He’s quiet, keeps to himself, and requires so little maintenance, you may at times wonder if he’s still alive. I often ask myself the very same question, in fact.

Just a few rules to remember. Try not to shake or jostle his steel box as much as possible. It may have some ill effect on the cat if, of course… well, you know. Also, whatever you do, DO NOT OPEN THE BOX. That will only lead to two very different outcomes, both of which probably wouldn’t be pleasant for as long as Whiskers has been in there.

Otherwise, provided you don’t place it somewhere you might accidentally trip over it, there should be nothing to worry about. Thanks again!
