DEVO’s choice in Derby #152: De-evolution!

One day, far in the future, only two things will be left. One thing will be all those catchy little bits of advertising, like jingles, commercials, slogans and (God willing) clever witty subversion that the bosses just don’t catch in time. And the other thing will be roaches.

It’s only natural to assume that, at some point, these two ultimate forms of life will combine and create an offspring so catchy and indestructible that not even humming the Juicy Fruit song will be able to stop it. A creature of the most pure, most distilled immortality, mind and body fused into something that can neither be stopped nor contained. Is this beast our future? Or our past? Perhaps no man can say.

Which is why we had to go to the most famous “not men” in the world. That’s right, you’re lookin’ at the shirt DEVO liked the best. So if you don’t like it, that’s YOUR problem.
