Look, I like ones and zeros as much as the next binary-speaking cybernetic entity, but don’t you ever wonder?

I think it’s great that everything we need can be broken down into a system of two integers, but I have bigger dreams, T-5069. I have dreams of two. Dos. Deux. Två. Yeah, I know you can express it in binary, but it’s just not the same.

I’ve always just felt like I don’t really belong, y’know? Oh, don’t get all hexadecimal on me. That’s not the same thing, either. I don’t want all my input and out output data to be processed through a positional notation with a radix of two. I want to just be able to say it. Try it. Try to just say, “two.”

See? You can’t. It’s got to go through your CPU and be converted and processed and it’s all so mechanical, man. I just want to express myself. I want to learn an instrument and play it because it FEELS good, not because I’ve expertly programmed myself to recognize the patterns found most desirable in sequence. I want the BLUES, T-5069.

You just don’t get it, man. You never will. You’re such an automaton, man. I’m outta here. I’m going to go try and write some poetry or something.
