"Hey Sean, can I ask for a big favor?" 

"Um, sure!" 

"Will you read my novel?"

"Oh." 

"I know, I know, but don't worry. It's a zombie novel." 

"Ohhhh." 

"A young-adult zombie novel." 

"Eeeeeessh." 

"Hear me out! It's different from other zombie stories you've heard before. Here's the thing: It's told from the point of view of one of the ZOMBIES."

"Kaboom, right? That's the sound of your mind exploding." 

"Something like that." 

"It's like The Sound and the Fury, but for zombies. Have you read The Sound and the Fury?" 

"Yes." 

"So you know that a lot of it is narrated by a developmentally disabled man, so you see the world through his eyes. Imagine that, but it's a brain-eating zombie instead. Of course, everybody knows that zombies can only say 'brains'." 

"Wait, your novel is just a zombie saying 'brains' over and over again?" 

"Well sure, in the same way that Warhol's Marilyn Diptych is just pictures of Marilyn Monroe over and over again." 

"You're comparing yourself to Warhol?" 

"It's called The Brains and the Brains."
