Thank you! It definitely took a lot of work to make something so "simple". Eric Carle has a few videos online on his process, and it mostly involved physical pasting of paper on a board, and that creates transparencies and such. Getting it to translate digitally took some experimentation, but I was happy with how it came out.

The whole thing is in illustrator, BTW. No photoshop at all.

Very nice. All I use is illustrator. I imagine photoshop would be easier for a design like this though, nice job making it work!

I think the process would have been pretty similar, actually. Only because it was vector, it allows me to be a little more forgiving with resizing elements, textures, etc.

I should do more in PS, I just have gotten so comfortable with Illustrator that it's my go to program more often than not.

I thought this was amazing before I read this, but seeing that you did this in illustrator makes it even cooler.

You captured the style so well, not only was it identifiable immediately, it was also a really charming idea. You really nailed this design this week. GMV
