Indeed, you can buy a child size mountie uniform shirt from a internet store based in Canada (as far as I can tell, since they take CAD as currency). But, I believe that my design is significantly different enough that it should be safe from any sort of copyright infringement. There are no logos or copyrighted images in my design anywhere, I drew it all by hand. Thanks for looking!

So many clever ideas coming out! I like this one - it reminds me of the t-shirts with a tuxedo image on them that guys wore at my high school years ago.

Artulo, yours is way better anyway. The large image really shows the time you out into it.

The internet store is the official store, run by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veterans' Association. I'm seriously doubting your design is different enough to stay up--they've rejected on much shakier grounds. Good luck, though!

Thanks, easeandgrace! Maybe this one would have done well in the Trompe L'Oeil derby too?

Thanks so much, Andy. I think it's different enough. Hopefully Woot does too.

All of that is irrelevant. it isn't about copyrights, it's about the fact that you can already buy the same basic shirt - i.e. there's nothing "orignal" about it. "similar shirts already exist" is a standard rejection rule.

I think you did an above average job on the details, but like mihalis, I would be shocked if this made it all the way till Thursday. Woot has rejected shirts that were far more dissimilar.

Nothing you can do at this point, just enjoy the ride ;-)

woot has also printed shirts that were far more similar. There's really no way to tell for sure.

Unfortunately, since Art is generally more "artful", he'll probably get the axe. Shoulda used a bunch of clip art... he'd DEFINITELY stay in the game that way

That's exactly why I don't like it. We just had tons of these in the Trompe de L'Oeil derby. Been there. Done that. Moved on.

I have a hard time believing that all the people voting for this one actually have intentions of buying and wearing it. This shirt tells the world "Hey look everybody! I'm a mountie!"

You guys must be big fans of those little plastic sheriff stars.

Well drawn though! Just redundant and kinda silly.

Thanks for your support, as well as everyone who did get to vote before it was rejected. I don't think many folks would buy the "already done" shirt, especially because it only comes in kids' sizes.

Oh well.
