Originally the focus was supposed to be on a missile launched with the jet in the background; but I couldn't really get the missile to look like anything but a ball with fins from that angle, and the plane just didn't look as dynamic from a profile view where the missile would have been clearer. I thought the image of two jets barrel rolling away from each other just looked better.
