Re: Karma in Motion

haven't you ever thought about heaving a bowling ball off of a brick building on to an unsuspecting fraternity jock below, only to revel in the delight that his helpless, and promiscuous girlfriend, will now seek comfort in the first person she sees? (hey, maybe that less-than-average looking gamer up at the top of that wall..)

exactly. here's to you.

I most recently rock out in Lust Is Like A Flame, but am almost always seen wearing Jimmy...Is That You?. In addition, I am the proud member of 26 total shirt.woots.

I'm afraid the Greek symbols on the guy's arm and the girl's shirt count as text. You should resub without them!

That may be, but the shirt was rejected. It's happened before for the infinity symbol, when it was a no text week.

Things Woot considers text:

Anything on your keyboard, including punctuation and symbols
Any letter from any foreign alphabet (the Greek letter pi included)
Any symbol used to convey a word in a foreign language (Kanji, for example)
The infinity symbol
The symbol for "ohm"

Did I miss anything?

Any sort of character in any recognized language is probably considered text. Mathematical symbols (like infinity) are also text.

The symbol for "ohm" (a unit in electricty) is Omega, the greek letter.
The symbol for "om" () might be what you meant.

D'oh! You're correct.

I actually think of it as "oam" because of the way I learned it... the "Oh" sound... the "Ah" sound... the "MMM" sound... and the silence that it came out of and into which it will return.

But, yes, the accepted English spelling is "om" not "ohm" and that's what I meant.

Isn't om a character in another language? Sanskrit or something? So you didn't need to mention it specifically. =)

I'm not sure why a shirt would be rejected for text when they ARE allowing text this week. What's that all about?????

Next derby - about mom, which is not open yet = text

Last derby - about motion, which ended today and still has the images up = no text

Every derby has specific qualifications that are posted the day before the new derby actually opens for submissions.
