It took me like an hour before I figured this out. I thought it was a very dark mass-suicide until I realized the title was " If all your friends", and then I realized there was a bridge, and then I put two and two together, and then I got it.
And I liked it.
Until then I was a little disturbed that motherhood made you think of suicide.
I'm such a dilweed.

Don't be so hard on yourself. It was the subtlety that I particularly liked about this shirt. I don't know if this will do well outside the US, since I am not sure that the expression is as prevalent elsewhere. And there are cultures where individuality is not as important as it is in the States. Another reason I like this.

Only real complaint is that the text looks kinda small...people might not get it until they're really close.

Great shirt idea! This is a neat way to illustrate it too. I love the way you made the other kids flailing through the air. I like that it simply looks like a "cool t-shirt" from a distance, then you look closer to see that it's funny and very creative too!

I think I need some help understanding this one. It looks like a suicide jump. Not really feeling the motherhood theme with this one. Is the idea that because others are doing it, he won't because he had a talk with his mom?

it's really interesting to see how different mom expressions can be! Even for people in the same age bracket. Hunh. I'm not the designer, but I've been giggling about this design.

Anyhow, when I wanted a pair of Nike sneakers because "all my friends had it", my mom would say, "If all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you jump off, too?" And of course I'd say no, and then I wouldn't get the sneakers, or an extended curfew, or whatever else.

(I'm also going to decide that the bridge jumpers swim to safety, they aren't suicidal jumpers, but that's my optimistic nature)

I've personally been able to tell my kids "don't run with scissors!" quite a few times, and just last week I got to say "don't play with matches" when some matches had spilled out onto the floor of our van. Then they were jumping off big rocks on Friday, but not bridges. yet...

I honestly can't recall my mom using this phrase. But, I didn't know the "raised in the barn" one that Jaden referenced either.

I DEFINITELY know the don't run with scissors and don't play with matches expressions! So far, I've only had to use the former with my daughter.

You're right...I think it depends on how familiar you are with the phrase.

I agree with the complaint about the small text size. However, I have heard that phrase so many times in my life I'm surprised I didn't bunge jump in defiance!

IMO, it IS way better than the ones that beat it for first through third.

I'm kinda new to how the Derby winners work... Is it only First through Third that get their shirts made? I saw no mention of "If all your friends..." in the Honorable mentions section either.

I'm confused and disappointed.
