This apparently already exists (www.momspit.com) although I prefer this treatment.

The FDA requires you to list ingredients for all retail cleaning products:

MOM SPIT® contains:
90% Saliva (from 100% United States registered mothers)
5% Embarrasol-guaranteed to cause shame and humiliation when applied properly
5% Mother-in-law bile

DIRECTIONS: Spray on affected area. Scrub. This product is most effectively used when applied using a female thumb with scouring equivalent of 300-grit sandpaper. For hardcore uses, try Granny Spit®.

This should be fogged by tonight I think, and well deserved.

Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. Who hasn't had a good face scrub with nothing but an old Kleenex out of mom's purse and some good ole' spit?

Check the reason given at the top (with URLish goodness). Apparently there's already a product sold under the trademark MomSpit. Who'da thunk?

I first thought it was because of the vaguely familiar-looking 1950s-style clip art mother image used in the design.

Would it pass muster as "Mom's Spit"?

My guess would be no, given that it's close to an actual product name. It would be like calling some soda "Pepsi's Cola"... that would get rejected as well.

Kinda late in the derby to try again anyway. Oh well.

They could try synonyms. Mom Saliva. Doesn't have the same ring to it though.

Heheh... Yeah, I don't think that would work quite as well.

I'm so upset about the rejection. This was my favorite one by far.

Interesting that it was rejected--it's two words, "Mom Spit" versus the trademarked "MomSpit' and while copyright of graphics covers instances of linetracing and closeness, the difference in the text is enough that it is not a trademark issue--the space would be considered a different spelling. I've noticed that woot goes with the "better safe than sorry" philosophy, though.
