Modern design with an art deco feel along the lines of a Frank Lloyd Wright window or light screen. Thank you for your vote.

Thanks for the comments and welcome to shirt.woot GradeGrubber!

And, Robert.....YES! We were both thinking modern art this week. Love your Mondrian-esque one too. I thought about something like that...but wasn't so sure about the white background.

It looks a bit like Piet Mondrian which I thought about doing. Nice.

Freaking Awesome, kls!
I think we've touched on Wright in our past exchanges, or was it just daVinci? Either way, loving our similar tastes in topics! Obviously GMV...

Hmm, just went in for 3 Randoms, when I haven't bought any shirts lately (although still checking frequently) so what are the chances of liking them!?! Oh well, couldn't pass up the mystery!

Love FLW, just not on a shirt. Nice work though.

An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.

Thanks Toe! What a surprise! I've been running errands for my mom and was very surprised to see this in the fog when I got back. Very exciting. Thanks to all who've voted thus far!

heartluce wrote:Very nice Kristen. I love how this looks smooth and wearable, not like Legos ;-).

Thanks Heartluce! I checked with Joel first to make sure that this was a valid entry before posting. I was afraid that this might be too 'linear', but fortunately, the rules were referring to gridlines, not 0.25 rectangle bars.

I also took the recommendation of another poster and did a FLW-ish design with more neutral colors. Thanks to the person who suggested that!

Thanks Sailstud! Yes. We have 'chatted' about this before and our love for both FLW and DaVinci. So happy to see this one getting some votes.

Thanks again everybody. Very thrilling!

The thing that is so impressive about this is that even though this is the pixel Derby, this design isn't pixelated. Very clever!

Thanks Infinity. I was afraid that maybe I'd taken the wrong approach with this design. But, I wanted to do something with the squares that seemed a bit modern and smooth. I really am excited that it is getting a bit of attention. Thanks all!

Very cool, I have been messing around with Monet's color theory use in his raindrops on the piece titled Water Lilies. Still haven't found a solid design out of it though .

Thanks Phoebe. I'm thrilled to have been in the fog this long, but I'm getting that sinking feeling down in the gut that my stay will be short-lived. Haven't been in the hotness much since yesterday, so the nerves have hit.

But, it's still very exciting right now.

Thanks to all who have voted!

Re: (W)Right Angle Neutrality

I'm not sure how I feel about the color choice for this shirt. Personally I am a big fan of the De Stijl movement so I'd prefer the use of more primary colors. Maybe I am concerned that the black lines wouldn't stand out enough against the gray background. Props for modern art influence though.

Thanks Riff. That means a lot. Glad you think it would look nice printed as well. I'm sure your tree design will be moving up overnight. Wouldn't be surprised to see it in the fog shortly. You've been at the top of the hotness nearly all day. Great work considering the rejections of some of your earlier entries. (Just saw your HM for the energy derby too....congratulations!)

Re: (W)Right Angle Neutrality

Whoa...a little shakeup overnight. I suspected Riff's tree would enter the fog. I also knew that Fable and I were really close votewise. So, I'm in 4th, right?

Hope this design has momentum to make it to the top 3.

Thanks Jiggles! Ah...this is just crazy. Exciting, unnerving, blood-pressure raising...all wrapped in one bite-size package. Going to be a crazy 24 hours as the battle for 3rd rages on.

Thanks to all who have helped get this one to the fog! Fingers crossed!

Thanks Rokko and FadetoBlack! There's a small...albeit it very small...chance that the (W)right one might print tonight as part of a tie between Cheese's Damask one and my design. Check at midnight... if you don't see both, then you'll at least have the opportunity to buy Cheese's blue one which was one of my favorites from the derby.

I wouldn't count yours out yet. Both yours and cheese's designs fell out of the fog near the end, and hers only beats your back in by a few minutes. Even if it's not a tie, it's still a coin flip as to who gets to be derby chump.

I'm rather new to this whole process, so excuse me if this is incorrect or I'm interpreting it wrong, but on ShirtDerbyStats.com it shows your design and cheesesandwich's design as both having 506 votes. I really hope that's the case, I'd love to grab this shirt. Good luck!
