Thanks so much for the comments and votes, guys. Especially for the notes on the artwork; I was really happy. I wasn't sure how well this would be received, considering its digital take on "work", but...well, thanks to those who like it!

Nowadays, we have a number of machines that expedite our work, or even complete it for us. A whole field of professions wouldn't even exist if not for modern machines (internet-related ones included). This piece is an even more futuristic/fantastical outlook where humans been integrated into the machine itself. In this case, rather than using a simple high-tech calculator, or a number-crunching accountant or actuary, the woman has become a high-speed data highway and a piece of the machine: her own digitally enhanced number cruncher.

Or at least, that's my take on it. Besides that, I'm sure there are any number of alternate explanations...you can even write your own story, if you wish?

I offered an explanation above-- I hope reading that will clarify some things. If not, then I'm really sorry! I guess my meaning doesn't communicate as well as I wished it to.

Simple equation:

This = work > painting koi = work

It's more abstract than some of the designs, but the explanation is a lot better than Ovaltina, my goat I GET PAID FOR PAINTING THINGS SO IT FITS THE TOPIC.

Augh, this would be a wonderfully different-from-the-norm-shirt if it won. PLEASE get back into the fog!!

I'm actually surprised to find myself liking all four shirts in the fog at the moment, even though I want Number Cruncher to take one of their places. I don't have a green shirt yet, and this would be a perfect design to go on my first!

Awww. Thanks so much for buying my shirts! It doesn't look like it'll get re-fogged with the popularity of the ones currently in the fog (good set this week, in my opinion), so I'll consider to.

To all of you, thanks so much for the support over the week. It was a great experience for me to see people rooting for the design-- it was very heartening. And to all those who helped it hit the fog within half a day, a special thank you! That was amazing to watch.

I would buy this as a poster, but it just doesn't appeal to me as a shirt. I don't know why, it looks fantastic.
