The little "lunar lander" like thing is a phage (or bacterial virus). IT's about to infect the cell "moon", and the moon isn't crazy about it.

I like the concept . . .. but, bacterial cells do not have mitochondria and other membrane bound organelles.

Yeah, you got me there... it's an animal cell... included is a mitochondria, cytoskeletal elements, nucleus and nucleolus, and a centriole.
