Absolutely does.

We have a new and rising star for the "Really? I mean REALLY?" Category of disgust.

Sadly, I would have to agree... The design seems to encompass the same movement and vector objects as previous entries. I would like to see you mix it up a bit.... at least look less like clipart. I think your eye is on the mark... This is a good design, just sorta not as original as I would like to see.

Shirts like these (I.E. vector shapes and flowy floral clipart laced with splatters and lines) are for sale everywhere... I can go get one from Target right now if you would like, but I like to buy things that slightly more original.

Listen, There is a reason as to why these designs are so popular. People love them and they wear well. I am not reinventing the wheel here. Also it is similar to the previous entry but totally different. The only thing that is the same is the color scheme. This is my talent. I enjoy creating abstract and grunge. Your talents lie in another catagory and are just as well. Thank you all for you comments and continued support.

No harm intended... I just feel there is more potential than you are showing. I would like to see what you can do that does not look like what is in every store.

Mind linking me to one? I want to know where to buy a similar design if this doesn't win.

It's like Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison had a child! Little big grunge, little bit psychedelic, all ROCK!

Re: Pandora's Note

Hmm... It's a good design, but the weird thing it... The notes in the center of the design reeeally throw it off for me.

It just doesn't look like it should sit there. I feels awkward.

Overall, I much preferred your previous entry, of similar design.

You won't be getting might vote just yet. It's a little early.

I am referencing a color scheme from one of my "OWN" past designs. How is that considered "unoriginal"? If you bothered to check both the current entry and the past one you would notice that no 2 elements are the same, they are completly different from one another. The "style" used is called grunge. The color scheme is the same however and that is what makes you think it is the same.

Now just FYI, I know the grunge style well enough to tell you that my pieces are original. Like a fingerprint, there are no 2 alike. But thank you for your observation.

Did you bother to read the comments above this one? I kinda explained this already.

All of your designs have the exact same vector mashup look. It's like you downloaded some vector sets and every week just layer a bunch of premade elements on top of one another.

Hope to see something different next week. Maybe something with an actual idea/plan behind it.

Sorry, can't say I agree with that. If by saying "mashup" you mean "style" than sure. It is not for everyone. I think there are enough fans of grunge out there that I will be okay. In future derbies I am going to try different things to see what kind of results I get. I seem to finish between 6th and 10th place with this style.

Cocky, are we?

I'm just saying that it doesn't look like you do much illustrating if at all. Instead you cut and paste other people's work into a single canvas, distress it and call it grunge.

Call it grunge if you want, but I call it cheap.

Re: Pandora's Note

I still believe it looks too much like your previous entry because of the following:

1. Same design placement
2. Same shirt color
3. Same color combination
4. Same basic layout. Darker gold ring with a lighter gold symbol in the middle with grey shapes coming out of the ring.

It's just way too similar and unoriginal. And I call it unoriginal because it's the same layout and the same thought put into this shirt as the last. There's nothing new you've introduced here.

You're talking about you're style as a artist but what a real artist does is stay within his or her style while reinterpreting and seeing it through different perspectives with each new piece. This shirt brings nothing to the table that the previous one hasn't.

I wasn't talking about any other pieces. I'm comparing just two. I apologize if that wasn't very clear in my previous post.

What have I done to so offend you that you feel the need to wash your hands of me? I'm critiquing your work, I'm being honest. And contrary to your tone and implications, wooters aren't idiots who don't know what they're talking about.

I wouldn't purchase anything from your collection simply because I can't stand how arrogant you sound in your defensive replies.
