Re: Nightmare Warrior
Really love this illustration. Great colors, characters, and atmosphere.
Re: Nightmare Warrior
This is awesome! I love the background, and the feel of the design.
Good luck to you!
Re: Nightmare Warrior
Awesome. Just enough detail without going to far. Reminds me of some twisted cartoon or game. Someone needs to make one now.
This is adorable.
Re: Nightmare Warrior
Wow... I really like this. I'd buy one if it got printed. GMV
Re: Nightmare Warrior

Re: Nightmare Warrior
Fantastic. Solid design all around. Perfect colors. Wow... I'm just blown away..
Re: Nightmare Warrior
This is a beauty, great colours. I like the swirling vortex in the background.
Re: Nightmare Warrior
Yes PLEASE. <3
Love this design. I'm sort of halftoned out, but I think your use of them for the vortex background really works. EXCELLENT. gmv

Funny you should mention that, because I actually worked on that film as a character designer and animator!

Friggin' awesome! When will it be coming to the big screen? Saw "Pixar" in the credits...
btw, the video in the link was kinda fuzzy - is there a clearer version out there somewhere?
Re: Nightmare Warrior
too good bro too good.
Re: Nightmare Warrior
This is very similar to There's a Nightmare in My Closet... but I do like the illustration better. Good job.
Re: Nightmare Warrior
This is absolutely amazing.
Re: Nightmare Warrior
dang. I've had this kind of dream. not my style though. but a cool illustration
Our Movie Genre... the video of PAJAMA WARRIOR was too damn good! That you were part of it is too cool! And I can see in this shirt why you were part of it!
GMV!

COOL!
....so that probably means you know my friend Rose.
patrickspens wrote:Funny you should mention that, because I actually worked on that film as a character designer and animator!
I grew up wanting to be an animator and character designer. I fall down in worship... m(-_-)m
Great short film, I can see your personal character touches! The monsters have some features that are very much your style.
I love monster designs <3.
Can't wait to buy this one!!!!!

Sure do, tell her "Hi" for me!

Yeah my post was probably the most confusing ever. I meant to say Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland.

Oh that is fair. I am sure Pixar is loving you taking their idea and using it for your monetary gain.
Re: Nightmare Warrior
This immediately makes me think of Voltaire's song Goodnight Demonslayer.

The short film wasn't made by Pixar.

Yeah, that's the first thing I thought of. Majamma Pajamma! Best of luck PP!

Re: Nightmare Warrior
Please, more stuff like this, and no more stuff like "Vague Memories".
Re: Nightmare Warrior
I love this!
I have been plagued by nightmares for the last 5 years, and (among some other things) the technique of facing your 'demons' has really helped me to put my nightmares to bay. This is a great illustration of that idea. I would love to have this as a sleep shirt!
arparham wrote:I was going from that, and when looking in the credits "Pixar Animation Studios" in the "Special Thanks" section.
Either way, I am sure the company is loving him taking their idea and using it for his monetary gain.
Just to be clear, this was a student film that was mentored by Pixar. It was our idea, not theirs. It was our creation, not theirs. So even if there were similarities, it is kind of hard to rip your own idea off from yourself.
...just to be clear
Brilliant as always! Excellent use of a unpopular color - and to great effect. It makes me thing of Little Nemo, Hell Boy, and Ghostbusters all rolled into one.
Very cool! GMV!
Re: Nightmare Warrior
Very Spaceman Spiff. I don't say that about just anything.
Re: Nightmare Warrior
cool beans, you got my vote

Thank you for clearing that up, and I mean that... truly, no cynicism at all. I know it can be hard to tell just when reading. Things are misconstrued here often, and the proper information is lost--so I appreciate the clarification.
AND I would like to say nice job on that film!!! It is great. How much were you involved in this project, what did you actually do for it?
The plunger gun just sells it for me.
This shirt makes me smile.
GMV
Re: Nightmare Warrior
Very nice, and coincidentally, I really need a red shirt too; +1.
That's amazing! I do want :D

I agree. I tend to keep my mouth shut during all the competitive voting but I really had expected this to print. Beautiful artwork.
Re: Nightmare Warrior
Color me disappointed... not to mention a certain little boy who liked this design too!
surfdad wrote:Color me disappointed... not to mention a certain little boy who liked this design too!
Very, very sad this didn't print. I'm actually really surprised, as this design is appealing in so many ways. We were all waiting for it to print so we could buy it. I am ok with Sokowa printing, as I also liked hers, but man I -wanted- this one.
PP needs to open a print shop on DA
I really would like to buy this as a print, as well as the Vague Memories :D
Re: Nightmare Warrior
How did this design not make the cut? Is it just me, or does it seem like some American Idol type spoilers keep voting for the Sanjaya's of Designs, while the really excellent ones go unrewarded?
