Then you just ask them if they have a problem with helping children or Africa. That will confuse them and they'll have to shut up.

Originally the whole circle was a pinkish color. When I changed it to white, the last part I changed was the part at the bottom. I decided that I liked the way it looked with a tiny bit of pink under the year. Makes it a little interesting in a very subtle way. Here's no pink for a comparison:

Was that a jab or a joke? Of the two (maybe 3 if you count the national parks derby) slogan based shirts she has done, I think they are all funny and original.

this isn't apathy so much as indecision - what do you race for when all the major diseases haven't hit yet? children? africa maybe?

I just don't care for the slogans she has come up with. If she has only done three then I probably haven't cared for all 3, though I can't really recall the parks one. So far the slogans just haven't been my style.

That's not apathy, that's ignorance with a heart of gold. Big difference!
I love the dry humor of this design BootsBoots, glad you didn't change a thing. For some reason it -does- look better with the pink section of the circle.

Re: Think of the Children
Hi Bootsboots! I like the idea you came up with and it is very 80's, back then people were not as aware of the mass suffering that is going on in Africa. I wish that the word "maybe " was dropped from the end slogan...(Don't be upset)I know that is part of this shirts appeal to many because it makes it funny, but you have alot of power , the power to do good and the shirt could have that power as well... I spent a year hand painting little ornaments of african children and wrapping them in net to symbolize the gift of a" net for life" (they sleep under these nets because the malaria carrying mosquitos strike at night.) One net costs 10-15 dollars, but saves the very life of the orphaned children beneath it. I sold several hundred of the ornaments around Christmas and the proceeds went straight to Nets for LIfe. Well the situation over there is horrible. In parts of Africa 80 percent of the children are orphans. It is Hell on Earth . So when we say please think of the children , I wish we could all seriously , do that. I couldn't wear this shirt as it is although it is so darn close for me...just a word or two. Apathy coalition is very very funny to me though and I laugh every time I check it out on the reckoning. You have a happy sense of humor and you are a nice person too. I can tell that, use your power for good wonder woman!
PS my daughter loves you and always says "OH Boot Boots, I love her!" She always says "Oh, thats my friend BootsBoots."A huge fan!

Back then people laid out the type by hand using press on letters and it wasn't ever perfect, I think this was intentional to make it look old school.

Actually, I already dropped the "or" down and straightened out a "k" when I submitted the print ready file. I wanted the letters to be slightly imperfect, but when I looked again the "or" and the "k" were just too off for me. It's 100% now.
Thanks everyone for all the great comments. I'm really really hoping it prints. Much more so than usual. ![]()

Nah, it's alright. I'll most likely be doing a lot of running in this shirt if it wins, so people shouldn't have enough time to read through it as I blur past them; however, in the unlikely event that someone becomes racially insulted and decides to chase me down, I'll already have a head start on them.
