I used a photo (with quite a bit of stylization) that I took on vacation and it met the rejectionator, even upon appeal. Good luck!

if you use some filters in photoshop you can sort of get the effect of clouds but it still looks sort of generated. i understand why they have the rule but in some cases like clouds they might want to change the ruling.

As long as the photos used to render the illo are those of the artist, I am down with that. The 'no photo' rule needs to take that into account. If this is not stock photos and is original, it rocks the house big-time. In any case, it is beautiful. I'll let the Wootinator determine the legalities.
