Re: Too Soon?
An amazing amount of frantic motion, emotion, and turmoil immediately rush to mind, all from 3 simple, minimalistic frames.
Rejected because: Yep, still too soon.

Re: Too Soon?
You make this and all you can say is too soon? If you would've said something like "In Memory of..." or something then no it wouldn't be "too soon" Think about it!!
Re: Too Soon?
HAhaha come guys, don't be so sensitive. I'm no terrorist but I know a good shock value shirt when I see it. llo GVM!

yeah you're right, but even so. It would definatly have to depend on where you live in order to not get your ass kicked for wearing this shirt. I know where I'm at in Texas it wouldn't go very well. But after reading what the creator said it kinda makes sense now. "An amazing amount of frantic motion, emotion, and turmoil immediately rush to mind, all from 3 simple, minimalistic frames. "

Really? What does Texas have to do with New York? I thought the two states couldn't stand each other. It's not like Texas was attacked or anything.

The level of patriotism is exceptionally high in many parts of Texas...as is the sheer volume of people willing to kick your ass. I believe that many people outside of New York City felt "attacked."
Re: Too Soon?
I'd buy one. I'd go to hell afterwards, but yes, I'd buy one.

I think of the title as a question for us. Are we ready for this kind of shirt?
I agree the person who wrote "Too Soon". And maybe you do too. I don't know when it will not be too soon for me, but maybe that because I'm from NY.
On to the design itself. I think woot wants shirts that show actual motion and not implied motion. I think they will reject this as being static pictures.
I'm down with this just because I always hate those three-frame shirts and this does something clever and shocking with it.
Re: Too Soon?
Shock Value? Anyone using the deaths of 3000 innocent people just to get a kick out of it is seriously disturbed. This will never be appropriate.
Re: Too Soon?
Very inappropriate to sport a shirt that signifies not only the death of three thousand Americans but the development of an utter hate of a specific religion and culture.
Terribly tasteless.
Re: Too Soon?
Perhaps in a few more years it will be appropriate to make a mockery of innocent lives being lost...
This will never be appropriate.
Re: Too Soon?
Didn't anyone read the artists note on it?:
An amazing amount of frantic motion, emotion, and turmoil immediately rush to mind, all from 3 simple, minimalistic frames.
Absolutely brilliant and emotional IMHO. Unfortunately I don't think that others would "get" it and be too quick to feel offended before actually thinking about it. In other words, a great piece of art, but not quite appropriate for a t-shirt.
Re: Too Soon?
Your description for the shirt does hold true. However, my only problem is that the design is too reminiscent of those obnoxious Restroom Sign shirts. It's impossible not to compare the two. 9/11 & Restroom Jokes = No.
Oh man, this shirt is too good.
Re: Too Soon?
Amazing idea i can't say enough about how much i like this shirt. I want this shirt i want to see the looks on peoples faces and the words they exchange with me. But it is a good thing it doesn't SAY Too Soon? on it or that would make it worse still a good shirt idea though

To play devil's advocate, most of America seemed to think it was fine to exploit said deaths for other reasons.
Re: Too Soon?
Yeah, I need a dead weasels that'll get my ass kicked. Maybe not. REJECTED
item one: it creates a response, a primary purpose for art, even if it isn't a positive response. do i think it's a bit tasteless? yes, but none of us want a country that cleans and sanitizes art to meet the common denominator.
item two: vote! for my shirt, of course, and it isn't even political in nature, ha ha.

Indeed, I would expect to find this on tshirthell. They have a nice payout too, if I recall.

Yes I agree. I wouldn't wear the shirt, but would I drink a "Belfast Car Bomb"? yeah. Would I joke about Chinese sweat shops when I wear my designer shoes? probably. Would I play video games reenacting famous World War massacres, etc... There are a ton of things Americans make fun of that wouldn't be taken so lightly if the roles would be reversed.
