Or your monkey can write "Hamlet" all by itself, probably only took 30 minutes.

Exactly right. One monkey, one set of alphabet blocks. 30 minutes and two bananas later.

Okay, I know this is probably a dumb question, but where is that quote from? I just can't place where I've heard it from. ><

Anyway, I'm usually totally against all things monkey because they tend to be popular just on the basis of being a monkey, but I actually think this is really well done. I really like the look on his face. Good job.

Can someone identify the species of monkey?

Man, I would have known this back in elementary school. I used to be a huge animal lover. Wanted to be a zoologist.

Yeah this really isn't a quote per se so much as an old saying. I looked for the 'original' but couldn't find it. I think it may be just an idea that's been passed along, quoted and requoted.

I was looking at references of capuchin monkeys when I drew it. It may not be completely scientifically accurate, but it's close.

This certainly better place. I wish it were on a color other than brown, but the design is awesome enough that I don't really care.

You can even make out the "to be or not to be" right next to hamlet. I never thought of the infinate monkey theorem that way

Didn't Douglas Adams talk about this as well in H2G2? That's what I thought of when I saw tgentry's explanation.. I didn't even realize that was an actual theory until I saw the wiki.

youtube of BBC TV series.. quote is about a minute into it I might have to get this just for the relation. hehe

shocked I haven't commented yet.

tgent, this is definitely worthy of its fog spot... I'm really hoping to see you and Edgar at the top this week, after so long without either of you printing anything. Woot can have their contest back next week... let a clip-art tree with mspaint ninja birds win the huge prize for all I care... but please, guys, spare this week from your arbitrary design selection.

The Midsummer Night's Dream reference gets a vote. That's my favorite literary character of all time.

Wait. Unless that wasn't on purpose. In that case, I'll just pretend that it was.

Puck! Actually it was a total accident, but a pleasant surprise! Thanks for pointing that one out. I also spotted Cupid, though not as clumped together.

So is there a corollary theorem that says something about a designer playing with an infinite number of child's blocks?

Excellent design. Too many entries on this site are great illustrations, but not something I'd want to actually wear. This one's smart (on more than one level), well-designed, and totally wearable. Definitely got my vote.

my favorite line from the first Hitchhiker's book. What was it, something about their ink stained fingers trying to pry open the door. I would totally get this one, my first woot.shirt.

This is the first shirt I am planning to stay up until 1am to catch on its first day. I hope it is the derby champ. Seems like the obvious choice. Nay, is.
