Re: Meriana Smile

Hello everyone!
There are many different things I love about our seas and oceans, and the legends related to them. I decided to combine a little of that, with something else I really love, classic pin-up art!

Thanks for taking a look at my entry!

Thanks for the comment. I was thinking about doing a mermaid design. It's good to see someone did a good one. Nice job! GMV

Thanks! It's kinda' funny how I decided on a mermaid. I was thinking about how many different sea creatures I really wanted to use when the song " Mermaids" by Flight of The Conchords popped into my head. I almost named the design "Sexy Lady Fish-Lady"!
Thanks again!

Cool color scheme and art work.

This is a double post, but instead of wiping the content and telling you it is a double post, I decided to leave the information in it because I do like the color scheme and art work

Re: Meriana Smile

I used the suggested pantone colors in the official template but after looking some at other entries I see many people are using other colors. Is it OK to use other pantone colors as long as we stick to 6?

The template shows the colors of the shirts so those colors are there to show you what you can print on. You can use any 6 colors though. You would have to resub the entry with the corrected colors though if you want it to be considered as a print.

Re: Meriana Smile

I was going for a classic 50's style pin-up look. I think it would look great on the side of a vessel of some kind! I should have punched the colors up a bit on this one but I'll do that next time.

Here is a link to a touched up version:

Thanks for the compliments guys!

I like the original color's better than the punched up version. I really like the washed out look. Makes me smile.

Soylent Green - it's what, and who, is for dinner.

Re: Meriana Smile

It is a amazing shirt, but a little more detail around the mermaid would make it more appealing to others.
