I'm not sure you know very many geeks. Most of the ones I know don't have much problem at all in the "Girlfriends" department. Hell, half of them ARE girls!

I think the word girlfriend should be replaced with Marriage? That way girls could wear it too =)

Or just 'relationships'. But that's definitely a valid point on limiting the audience.

This shirt is so awesome! I do agree with the other statements about the "girlfriends." I would still wear this shirt (I'm a girl), but I think I would like it more if it was more general.

I love this shirt so much!!! I'm a girl and I would wear it. I will say that it is still early and this shirt is so awesome that I agree you should replace girlfriends with relationships. I will vote either way but I want your shirt to get as many votes as possible. It is epic and needs to print! :D

Oh, and if you do decide to adjust, consider seeing if you can use "pwn" in there somewhere, probably under games.

I appreciate the feedback. I was just going for a simple funny joke. Hopefully you guys will still like it enough to give it a vote!

Wait is the shirt white or grey? You should fix that, it would be very unfortunate for such an awesome shirt to be rejected because the thumbnail colour is wrong.

It's on a white shirt. It looks white on my monitor. Silly monitors and their silly differences in colors.

+1 girl geek that would ABSOLUTELY wear this shirt. I never buy white shirts, but this is awesome enough to win the exception. I HOPE this prints!

The computer trail confuses me a bit. Except in the colloquial sense a Mac is a PC. I think it's clear you meant Windows when you say PC but you have it twice and no geek (real geek anyway) would omit Linux. It's slightly disappointing.

Otherwise, I really like the shirt. It looks sharp and the colors are very nice.

I had the Mac/PC waffling like in the commercials. I guess I was kind of thinking old school on that one. When I got my first Apple computer, we were still calling the other guys PCs. It's just kind of what my geeky mind would be thinking about under computers. I'm not a Linux girl so I didn't include it. I'm sure I could have added so much more to the map if I had the space but had to limit my choices for the shirt print area. I'm still glad you like it overall. Perhaps I will need to make a Geek Brain 2.0 shirt to include more geeky goodness! Suggestions welcome!

It's probably not worth it to split votes between the designs. I do hope this one succeeds. Most woot "geeks" aren't geeks anyway. They're nerds. It's subtly different. I just personally hate to see Linux left out of the decision. Good luck!

Yeah, the girlfriends thing loses it for me, as a girl. Relationships would have too, though. Very cute otherwise!

I want this so bad, first shirt I'd ever buy one for me and the hubby. not to wear together, because that would be Stale Candy. but I'd want one and he could have one too!

"Girlfriends" could be taken a couple of ways. The obvious, geeky boys being unable to find or maintain a girl in a relationship. The OTHER though, is geeky girls trying to figure out how to be girlfriends (really, just trying to fit in at all because we are just as terrible in that department as the guys are).

I think some people are taking the shirt entirely too seriously. It is great and, as a girl, I would wear it. GMV and hopefully it gets back up in the fog!

Re: Geek Brain Mind Map

I would have voted. Great idea, good design… BUT
So Girl geeks don't exist? I refer to the” Girlfriends” tab. I only ask because either I don't exist, or I'm Caramel Apples - YUM!. Either way I should start my existential crisis about now. I’m not normally picky, but seriously. You could have put “love” or “romance” and avoided this issue. Not voting.

Because every geeky/gamer girl is hetero? I know a lot of girl geeks who have pondered the girlfriend question as much, if not more, than guys. The only thing that would make it better imo is if after girlfriend, it had femme bot.

I hope this shirt wins, because I want 5 of them.

I will certainly vote for it and buy it if "Girlfriend" is replaced with something a little more...general...such as "Relationship(s)" or "Other humans." Because 1) I'm a geek girl and 2) I'm very socially awkward.

I've seen "web blog" used. Googled it to double check when making the shirt. I like it. This is my geek brain and it sees "web blog" and "girlfriends."

As a girl and a geek who is happily married and who has girl geek friends who are in relationships.... I don't care about the issue at all. The design is funny, the layout and colors work, it gets my vote.

As a queer geek-guy, adding my voice to those for whom the "girlfriend" bit is a deal-breaker. If it had been something more inclusive, I'd likely have voted, but as it stands, this one's just not for me.

As a nerd-lady who likes gentlemen, I agree on this one.

It's a cute graph and you chose very nice colors, but it really only includes a certain few.

I think there is an assumption this brain belongs to the wearer of the shirt. The design is meant to be a funny commentary on the stereotypical geek brain. Think comic book guy on The Simpsons. Anyway, I'm grateful to be in the fog even with the controversy.

Re: Geek Brain Mind Map

I love the "graphic novels" part. I don't read many graphic novels (more of a standard fantasy/sci-fi novel kind of geek), but I don't know how many times I had to explain the difference when people asked what Watchmen was.

Also, doesn't the "girlfriends" thing work for everyone?

- Straight Male: Standard joke.

- Straight Female: It's a mystery on how to become one.

- Non-Straight Female: Standard joke.

- Non-Straight Male: Girlfriends? What are those?

- All: Why would I want one of those? They'd just get in the way of all the stuff I have to do... ;p

Doesn't seem like much of a deal-breaker to me. Anyway, nice job with the shirt; GMV!
