Derby #14: Nutrition
Hey, this Derby's over. When you're finished reliving past glories, check out what's going on in the Derby right now. It's probably even cooler. Or at least newer.
Design #14: Nutrition
Once you've finished gorging your guts on glutinous goo for Halloween, why not take a turn for the healthier? This week we're thinking about nutrition. Show us a design that examines the relationship between food and health, captures some striking nutrition-related visual image, metaphorically explores the idea of nourishment and fuel, or at least includes some cute cartoon fruit characters. Oh, yeah: designs involving booze, dope, or porn will be rejected. So don't bother working up a "Beer Is Good For You" or "Boobies Are Delicious" t-shirt. We're not in that business.
A Note on Color: we've created new shirt templates that better reflect the actual colors of our shirts. Our crack team of Pantone swatch specialists lovingly crafted them with more accurate colors. (The Heather Gray template still isn't heathered, though. We're working on it.) You can find them on the submission page, or here: Photoshop template, Illustrator template, PDF template.
And if you're really uptight about colors, make sure you choose your ink colors from the Pantone Solid Coated colors, available in the Swatches palette in both Photoshop and Illustrator. Otherwise we have to try to match your colors (of which there are millions of possiblities) to our Pantone Solid Coated colors (of which there are 1,114). If you don't use Pantone Solid Coated colors, you're not allowed to whine about how the colors look later.
