Derby #126: Events of 2009 Illustrated
Hey, this Derby's over. When you're finished reliving past glories, check out what's going on in the Derby right now. It's probably even cooler. Or at least newer.
Ah, what a year. A lot of us got pink slips, a lot of us got swine flu, and some really unlucky suckers got both. Also, a bunch of other crap happened, most of it equally depressing, as you can see here and here. So now it's time to exorcise the demons of 2009, either by celebrating what little good came out of this anno horribilis, or poking at the wounds this year left until they don't hurt anymore. We can't force people to vote one way or another, but we're really hoping that the Derby voters prefer inventive, allegorical, figurative takes on the year's news.
